Radically Reorienting Our Lives to Proclaim the Gospel” Tonight at 5pm

Sunday, September 11th, 2011

We hope you will be able to join us this evening for the third and final message in our “Radical Reorientation” series. Tonight’s message comes from Acts 4:23–31 and is entitled, “Radically Reorienting Our Lives to Proclaim the Gospel.” So far in our series, we’ve learned that God must radically reorient us to Himself through repentance and faith in Jesus. Then we saw that we must change the way we live to preserve the Gospel, defending it from the additions and subtractions our unbelieving hearts tempt us to make and committing to live out the implications of the Gospel together in the church.

In tonight’s message, we will see that our expectations, our view of God and prayer, and our evangelism must change if we are to faithfully proclaim the Gospel. After the service, we will enjoy dinner together. If you are a guest, we hope that you can come for worship and the meal afterward. See you tonight at 5pm!

Reorienting Our Lives to Preserve the Gospel” Tonight at 5pm

Sunday, September 4th, 2011

Please join us tonight for the second week of our sermon series, “Radical Reorientation: From Sin and Self to God and Others.” Last week, we considered how God radically reorients us to Himself through the person and work of Jesus in Luke 5. Just like the paralyzed man, every one of us has problems in this life, but none greater than our need for forgiveness from God. Jesus, our perfect Savior, achieved reconciliation for us through His life, death, and resurrection. In response, we are called to “leave everything and follow Him,” just as Levi the tax collector did.

Tonight, we will consider how God calls us to radically reorient our lives to preserve that wonderful message. We have been called to make disciples of Jesus, and the way we do that is by knowing the Gospel and applying to our lives and the lives of others. However, doing this requires a radical reorientation of our lives. The way we spend time, money, and resources has to change for us to do this faithfully. After the service, we will enjoy dinner together. We hope to see you there!
