LifeLine FAQs
We have launched LifeLine — the New Life Members’ Site: members.newlifecs.net
If you have used any social network before, you should be fairly familiar with many of the features. The site is under active development so there will likely be bugs. We will try to address common questions using these FAQs.
LifeLine guidelines
Lifeline is a tool to help facilitate communication, promote deeper relationships and increase awareness of ministry opportunities. Remember that the site is just a tool. It is meant to supplement to other forms of communication and fellowship, it’s not a replacement for them.
Prayerfully consider everything you post on the site.
General Questions
Q. What is LifeLine and why do we need it?
A. LifeLine is a private online community for members of New Life Baptist Church. It is a website that can help facilitate communication with the church as a whole and within each Life Group and Ministry team. Members will be able to share prayer requests and announcements and keep up with church events.
Q. Who can join LifeLine?
A. The New Life members site is a closed community; only current members of New Life will have access.
Q. Who can see my group activities, prayer requests and discussions?
A. Each Life Group is private, the information posted can only be seen by the members of your group. If you wish to post a prayer request to the entire church, you can add your prayer request to the Site Group.
Q. Can a husband and wife share an account?
A. Yep. We will create an account for each church member, if you wish to combine your account with your spouse, please use the contact form below to request the change.
Q. How do I report a problem, or make a suggestion?
A. If you find any bugs, or have any suggestions, please contact us using the form below or email jeremy@newlifecs.net
Q. Why does the site say ‘Beta’ in the header? Is it unfinished?
A. Beta means the website is unfinished. The Member’s Site is under active development, there are occasional bugs and we will see additional features added in the coming year.
Q. Why are we using a website that is still being developed?
A. Even in an incomplete state, we believe the member’s site will make it easier for our Life Groups and Ministry teams to communicate. Additionally, we received a great discount for signing up as a test church.
Q. How do I change my password, user name or personal information?
A. Log in, you will find a link for ‘Your Profile’ on the right side of the page next to your photo. This link will take you to a page where you can change your password, user name or personal info. View our screen cast of this task for more information.
Q. How can I opt out of emails and notifications from the members’ site?
A. Log in, you will find a link for ‘Settings’ on the right side of the page next to your photo. This link will take you to a page where you can control your notification preferences.
Q. How do I join a Ministry Team or Life Group in the site?
A. Life Group and Ministry Team leaders have authority to add you to their group. Email, send them a message through the site, or ask them in person the next time your group meets.
Q. What is the site group?
A. The site group contains every member of our church. Any prayer request, event or discussions you want to post to the whole church can be added to this group.
Q. The map is incorrect for my address, how can I fix it?
A. The mapping features are incomplete — at this time, there is no way to move a location on the map if it is incorrect.
