Missions and Church Planting
New Life is actively involved in missions and church planting in our community, state, nation, and world.
Below you will find a list of organizations and individuals with whom we partner, the reason for our affiliation, and a little about how we support them.
Acts 29 Network
Acts 29 is a trans-denominational peer-to-peer network of Christian, evangelical, missional, reformed pastors and churches. Our pastors benefit from coaching, mentoring, and peer-to-peer friendships with other leaders. Additionally, we have the privilege of working alongside other like-minded churches to plant healthy churches in our community, state, nation, and world.
Southern Baptist Convention Cooperative Program
Contrary to popular belief, the Southern Baptist Convention is not a denomination, but an association of free confessing churches. New Life willingly and freely partners with the SBC Cooperative Program, which provides financial, administrative, and ongoing spiritual support to missionaries in North America and the world.
Creath Brazos Baptist Association
The Creath Brazos Baptist Association (CBBA) is an association of Baptist churches from Madison, Brazos, Grimes, Waller, and Leon counties. We participate in the CBBA by donating to the Acts 1:8 fund, which helps smaller churches obtain funding for short-term mission trips.
Jim and Rachel Jobe
Jim and Rachel Jobe were a part of New Life’s core group and were among the first members of our church. In August 2009, they left for Michigan to train with New Tribes Missions. After an intense period of training, they will leave the country to proclaim the Gospel and plant churches among animistic tribes in the southern hemisphere. To learn more about the Jobe’s and how you can prayerfully support them, visit their blog. If you would like more information about how you can financially support them, please follow this link.
Brock and Megan Birkenfeld
Brock and Megan joined New Life in September 2009. In Fall 2011, they were appointed by World Team to facilitate a church planting movement that will focus on an unreached people group in the 10/40 window. In Spring 2012, their final destination will be determined and they will begin raising financial support. Until their planned departure in late 2013, they will be pursuing further training, serving at New Life, and building a team who will support them by praying for them, giving financially, or both. Please visit their blog for more information.
Ryan and Amy
Ryan and Amy have been connected with our founding church, Living Hope, for a number of years. Ryan and Amy minister among Muslims in southeast Asia. If you’d like to email them to receive their updates, click here.
