Busi­ness Meeting

On Tues­day, March 9th we will have a busi­ness meet­ing to affirm and wel­come new mem­bers, affirm and ordain new dea­cons, par­tic­i­pate in the ordi­nances, and learn more about what God is doing at New Life.  All mem­bers are required to attend but the meet­ing is open to vis­i­tors as well.

New Dea­con Affirmations

The elders of New Life are rec­om­mend­ing Joe Terry and Keith Cur­rivean to serve as dea­cons.  The elders will ask for an affir­ma­tion of these men at the mem­bers’ meet­ing on Tues­day, March 9th.

Bryan Spring Break Bible Club

New Life is part­ner­ing with Liv­ing Hope and Liv­ing Hope — Bryan over spring break in serv­ing the city of Bryan though a children’s Bible camp.  The Bryan Spring Break Bible Club will be March 15th — 19th from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.

Edin­burg update

Sign ups for the Edin­burg trip are closed.  We will post more infor­ma­tion about the trip, sched­ule, trans­porta­tion, food and lodg­ing arrange­ments as soon as pos­si­ble.  Work will involve build­ing homes, JBS, and free med­ical care.

Haiti

Sign-ups for Haiti are closed but we need a prayer team of at least ten peo­ple.  Con­tact Rachel Hultz through Life Line if you are able to join.

Ways you can pray now (excerpt from Butch’s message):

“God is at work and we are join­ing Him in what He is doing. Just last night, I heard of a voodoo witch doc­tor who recently accepted Christ. This is in the area where we will be. The open­ness to the gospel is amaz­ing. Pray daily for souls to be saved and for God to do mighty mir­a­cles for His glory before we come, while we are there and after we leave. Pray that God will break our hearts and set us free from the love of this world. Pray for per­sonal flex­i­bil­ity and holi­ness. Pray for effec­tive and effi­cient min­istry, build­ing, repairs, demo­li­tion, soul-winning, light med­ical help, clean up and what­ever else God desires to do in us and through us as we sim­ply yield to His Holy Spirit as min­is­ters of the gospel. We will meet needs and share Christ for His glory. Please pray and fast like never before. Please!”

New Books for Sale

We have two new books for sale at the book­stall.  Liv­ing the Cross-Centered Life by C.J. Mahaney ($8) and Fight Clubs ($3) by Jonathan Dod­son.  We will be blog­ging through Mahaney’s book this spring, and our men will use Dodson’s book as the foun­da­tion for own fight clubs.

Lord’s Sup­per and Testimonies

On Wednes­day, March 24th we will join with Liv­ing Hope and Liv­ing Hope — Bryan to cel­e­brate the Lord’s Sup­per and hear tes­ti­monies.  We will meet at 6:30 pm at the Liv­ing Hope building.

Life Groups

Life Groups have resumed.  Wednes­day LG’s are at 6:30 pm and Sun­day LG’s meet at 10:30 am.  Check the Get Con­nected page for a com­plete list of our groups.
